Wildlife

The Ulverscroft Valley supports a rich variety of wildlife, shaped by its grasslands, woodlands, hedgerows, streams, gardens and farmland. Much of this wildlife depends on connected habitats across landholdings, making the valley an important part of the wider Charnwood Forest landscape.

The Corridor Club helps landowners understand what species are already present, what they need to thrive, and how everyday land management can support them.

Species recorded in the project area

A wide range of species have been recorded across the Ulverscroft Valley and surrounding land, including mammals, birds, insects and plants. These records help build a picture of the ecological value of the area and guide practical management.
